Storm Franklin Travel Advice

Storm Franklin Monday 21st February

Severe weather is likely to affect journeys across most of the UK on Monday 21st February 2022.

Last update: 17:00 21st Feb 2022

Problem

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for much of the Chiltern network on Monday 21st February. Strong winds were forecast and have caused train service disruption across the UK. As a consequence disruption has been on going and has resulted in both traincrew and unit displacement.

Impact

Although the weather warnings have now been lifted, there still remains a possibility of trees or other debris being blown onto the railway lines and causing unexpected or short notice disruption. There will also be short-formed services tomorrow, due to units being damaged by trains. Therefore, please continue to check your journey before you travel.
