Thursday 2nd January 2025:

An amended timetable will be in operation, in respect of the following:

  • RMT Industrial Action (Avanti West Coast). 
  • Leaf Fall timetable extension.

Due to planned RMT industrial action on Avanti West Coast services, a reduced service will be in operation between Euston and Birmingham New Street. Where possible, some lengthened Chiltern Railways trains will operate between Marylebone and Birmingham. However, the following minor timetable alterations are necessary in order to cope with the additional demand to/from Birmingham, and also because some trains will be too long to call at some minor stations with short platforms:

SOUTHBOUND ALTERATIONS:

  • 07.15 Birmingham Moor Street - Marylebone is set down only at High Wycombe.
  • 07.45 Birmingham Moor Street - Marylebone is set down only at Haddenham & Thame Parkway and High Wycombe.
  • 08.45 Birmingham Moor Street - Marylebone is set down only at Haddenham & Thame Parkway.
  • 09.11 Birmingham Snow Hill - Marylebone does not call at Kings Sutton.
  • 09.49 Oxford - Marylebone calls additionally at Haddenham & Thame Parkway.
  • 10.11 Birmingham Snow Hill - Marylebone calls additionally at Kings Sutton.
  • 16.45 Birmingham Moor Street - Marylebone does not call at Hatton.
  • 17.19 Oxford - Marylebone does not call at Beaconsfield.
  • 17.45 Birmingham Moor Street - Marylebone does not call at Hatton.
  • 19.15 Birmingham Moor Street - Marylebone does not call at Lapworth, Hatton and Saunderton.
  • 20.11 Birmingham Moor Street - Marylebone does not call at Kings Sutton.
  • 20.19 Oxford - Marylebone calls additionally at Saunderton.
  • 20.49 Oxford - Marylebone calls additionally at Wembley Stadium.
  • 21.11 Birmingham Moor Street - Marylebone calls additionally at Kings Sutton.

NORTHBOUND ALTERATIONS:

  • 06.31 Marylebone - Birmingham Snow Hill does not call at Kings Sutton.
  • 11.02 Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street does not call at Warwick.
  • 12.36 Marylebone - Banbury calls additionally at Kings Sutton.
  • 13.02 Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street does not call at Kings Sutton.
  • 14.36 Marylebone - Banbury calls additionally at Kings Sutton.
  • 19.06 Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street does not call at Kings Sutton and Warwick.
  • 19.46 Marylebone - Banbury calls additionally at Kings Sutton.
  • 22.57 Marylebone - Aylesbury Vale Parkway does not call at Rickmansworth.

In respect of the Leaf Fall timetable extension, Southbound trains from Aylesbury Vale Parkway and stations to Chorleywood inclusive are amended to depart up to 3 minutes earlier.

Finalised timetables are uploaded into online journey planners 9 weeks before the date of operation. Any journey checked outside of this timescale may be subject to change; please double-check how these amendments are due to affect your travel plans. For some engineering works and special events at Wembley Stadium, timetables may be released closer to the date of operation.
