Travelling with Children on our services
We want to ensure that travelling with little ones is as convenient as possible on Chiltern services.
Avoid busy periods
If you don’t need to arrive at your destination by a particular time, you might find it less stressful to travel during less busy periods. If you’re travelling Monday to Friday. Try to avoid peak times as much as possible.
Travelling with a pram or pushchair
We welcome travelling with a push chair that can be stowed away or folded. Please refrain from storing pushchairs in the designated wheelchair space on our services, as these spaces must be available for anyone using a wheelchair.
Baby changing facilities on-board
Most toilets on our services have a fold-down baby changing table, if you are at a station, please check the stations page, select the station you need information for, scroll down the page and click on the 'All station facilities' and it will indicate whether baby changing facilities are available in the station.
Baby on board badge
We know it can be tiring and uncomfortable travelling on our trains when pregnant. To make your journey easier, Chiltern Railways provide “Baby on Board” badges for expectant mums. If you are wearing a badge, most passengers are more likely to give up their seat for you.
Applying for a badge
Many of our ticket offices at staffed stations have badges available on request.
You can also apply using our ‘contact us’ form, or by giving our customer services team a call on 03456 005 165 and they’ll be happy to send one out to you.
