Due to planned London Underground industrial action, services are likely to be disrupted between Tuesday 1st March and Friday 4th March

Last update: 12:30 23rd Feb 2022

Problem

London Underground have confirmed proposed strike action this week which is causing severe disruption on our network between London Marylebone and Aylesbury (via Amersham only), between Tuesday 1st March and Friday 4th March inclusive. Most London Underground services will be severely disrupted.

Impact

Tuesday 1st March and Thursday 3rd March

London Underground signallers and station staff are taking industrial action between 00:01 and 23:59, which will mean there will be no tube service on any line all day.

It will also prevent Chiltern Railways operating any direct services between London Marylebone and Aylesbury (via Amersham) as the signal boxes on the Metropolitan Line will be closed. Additionally, our service will not call at South Ruislip station as the entry/exit points are through the London Underground ticket hall (which will not be open). Services booked to call at South Ruislip will be moved to call at West Ruislip where possible.

Please note:

There will be no service operating between London Marylebone, Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham all day.

Wednesday 2nd March and Friday 4th March

It is anticipated that Chiltern Railways services between London Marylebone and Aylesbury (via Amersham) will be operating normally from around 08:00. It is likely that London Underground services will start to run from around 08:00 but with service disruption until mid-morning.

Services will not be able to call at South Ruislip before 08:00 but station calls will be moved to West Ruislip where possible in the meantime.

Advice

Tuesday 1st March and Thursday 3rd March

Customers travelling from Great Missenden or Wendover are recommended to travel to Aylesbury where a connecting service will be in operation to London Marylebone (via High Wycombe).

For customers travelling to London, due to severe disruption on the underground network please consider alternative modes of transport such as walking or cycling.

Wednesday 2nd March and Friday 4th March

Please note the first planned service from Aylesbury Vale Parkway will depart at 07:25 toward London Marylebone (running non-stop from Great Missenden).

The first planned departure from London Marylebone toward Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham) will be at 07:57.

Please note:

On Tuesday 1st March to Thursday 3rd March planned late-night engineering works will be taking place in the Aylesbury area, and an amended timetable will be in operation after 23:00.

Some late-night journeys will take considerably longer than usual and may involve travel via rail replacement bus services.
