Most of our stations have convenient bus links nearby – you’ll find details of some of our stations’ bus connections below. Chiltern Railways season ticket holders in Aylesbury, Aylesbury Vale Parkway, High Wycombe and Bicester can take advantage of free bus travel on certain routes – see the information under the relevant station below.

PlusBus is also available from most stations listed below – it allows you to add on unlimited discounted bus travel in the whole of the local area. You can buy a PlusBus ticket with most types of rail ticket (single, day return, period return and season ticket), from any booking office at the same time as you purchase your rail ticket. You can get PlusBus for the start and/or the end of your journey.

Aylesbury and Aylesbury Vale Parkway

In Aylesbury several buses stop just outside our two stations, allowing easy connections. You’ll find timetables for local bus services (including those mentioned below) on the Buckinghamshire County Council website.

Chiltern Railways season tickets valid to Aylesbury or Aylesbury Vale Parkway (monthly or longer) are valid on:

 

  • High Wycombe - on the Carousel routes 4 and 34 for High Wycombe to the coachway park and ride. For bus times, click here
  • If Aylesbury station or Aylesbury Vale Parkway stations you can use your ticket for free travel on local Redline/Red rose routes: Redline/Red rose routes (for bus times, click here) :
  • (1) - for Fairford Leys (From Aylesbury and Aylesbury Vale Parkway within Aylesbury fare zone only).
  • Redline/Red rose routes (4) - for Berryfields (from Aylesbury and Aylesbury Vale Parkway).
  • Redline/ Red rose routes Water Rider (6) - for Watermead and Buckingham Park. (for travel with Aylesbury fare zone only).
  • Red line/Red rose (7) for Bedgrove. (for travel with Aylesbury fare zone only).
  • Red line/ Red rose (16) – for Quainton and Waddesdon (from Aylesbury and Aylesbury Vale Parkway within Aylesbury fare zone only).

Season tickets on Chiltern Smartcards are accepted on these services.

Banbury

Bicester North and Bicester Village

You’ll find the timetables of local bus services on the timetables tab on traveline.info. To see live bus times visit Oxontime. In addition to local buses Chiltern Railways supports the operation of two additional types of bus service in Bicester:

  • Bicester Village to Bicester North shuttle – this runs approximately every 30 minutes, providing a connection between our two stations in Bicester. This service is free if you hold a Chiltern Railways season ticket (monthly or longer). Season tickets on Chiltern Smartcards are accepted on these services.

Birmingham, Cradley Heath, Dorridge and Stourbridge

The 280 bus to Oxford and Aylesbury operates from just outside the station. You can find the timetable and live running information on the Arriva Bus website.

High Wycombe
