• Chiltern Railways is still running trains between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone this weekend, while engineering works take place on other lines (Birmingham New Street and London Euston) but warns customers to “check your journey before you travel”.
• Services will be extremely busy, and customers should buy before travel and leave plenty of time for their journey
Chiltern Railways is gearing up for the Bank Holiday weekend (25 – 27 August) by advising passengers to buy tickets before they travel (at www.chilternrailways.co.uk) and download their app for up-to-date journey information. While other train operators are impacted by engineering works, Chiltern Railways is running services between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone and their team will be pulling out all the stops to make sure people can travel.
To help the people who do not regularly travel on the Chiltern line, the company will also have extra customer service ambassadors across the route.
Alan Riley, Customer Services Director at Chiltern Railways said: “We know that services are going to be extremely busy this weekend but we'll do our best to help people complete their journeys. However, we do anticipate it being extremely busy, so make sure you check your journey in advance and leave plenty of time for travel.”
