What is the Frankfurt Birmingham Christmas Market?

The Frankfurt Birmingham Christmas Market is the world’s largest German Christmas Market outside of Germany or Austria, and is one of the biggest event in Birmingham’s cultural calendar attracting visitors from all over the UK and Europe. In 2024, it will be its 24th year in the city. Getting to the Birmingham Christmas market has never been easier than by train. 

Main Attractions

The Birmingham Christmas Market is a traditional winter German market that offers a huge number of things to do including:

• As much food and drink as you can eat, such as delicious pretzels, bratwurst, beer, hot chocolate and much more.
• Live music on the main stage, featuring artists from Germany and Birmingham.
• Christmas present shopping at stalls that include traditional toys, crafts, jewellery and leatherwork.

When will the Frankfurt Christmas Market start in Birmingham in 2024?

The market starts Friday 1st November and continues until Tuesday 24th December 2024.

The opening times are from Monday to Thursday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM; on Friday from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM; on

Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM; and on Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.  Remembrance Sunday, 10 November has changed opening times from 1pm to 9pm.
