Children under 16 years travel for £1 when travelling with one fare paying adult on a London Family Travelcard.
Example: Family Travelcard from Birmingham Moor St. to London Marylebone, an adult pays £29 and child’s journey costs £1 – total to pay £30. Up to four children can travel for £1 each with one fare paying adult with a London Family Travelcard.
London Family Travelcard terms and conditions
- Valid for one day return journey to London.
- Includes unlimited travel on London’s tubes and buses zones 1-6.
- Valid on trains timed to arrive into London after 10am. No restriction applies at weekends.
- The minimum eligible group must consist of one fare paying adult and one child.
- Available to groups consisting of one adult travelling with between one and four children under 16 (children under the age of 5 travel for free on Chiltern Railways). Additional adult travellers will need to purchase another travelcard to travel with the group.
- All passengers must travel together at all times.
- You cannot use a Railcard in conjunction with a Family Travelcard.
- These tickets are refundable and amendable up to the date of departure, subject to an administration fee.
- Route restrictions may apply to your Family Travelcard, depending on your origin station. This will be advertised on your ticket, and in general will require all or most of your journey into London to be on Chiltern Railways.
